Yes we have told the estate agent that we are very disappointed! A few other choice words were used. It’s really upsetting that us and our buyer have thrown everything at this only to be told at the final hour that they now won’t break the chain.hangryconsumer said:Do you mean that the simple act of going to see another property may have upset the seller? Did you tell the estate agent who may have passed what you said onto the seller?
we are worried because we did show our utter disappointment and frustration at the estate agent and our solicitor said to their solicitor that we needed an answer by the end of the day yesterday and that we can’t be messed around…0

This scenario happens daily and to hundreds of people, it's a highly emotional timeframe for all involved in a chain and taking it this personally isn't helping yours, resist the urge, now, to ask parties these questions and cool off a bit.

Estate agents hear all sorts and don't pass ALL of it to the other party. Don't worryNo41edwardianhouse said:

absolutely - definitely your strop won't have been passed on to the vendors other than to say "purchasers are getting concerned" - lots of brinksmanship happens in house buying, I remember when there were some odd toings and froings back in 1991 that my sol was unavailable ... to everyone, not just to those causing some aggro , I think he was hiding under his desk with the last bits of paper and his secretary was fielding the chaos - all sorted i 24 hours and we exchanged but he was determined it wasn't going to happen until absolutely rightCasaCroft8 said:

It’s also about what our solicitor has said to the sellers solicitor. It went along the lines of “my clients may not continue with the purchase as they have been led to believe that you would break the chain. Please let us know by the end of the day”Flugelhorn said:

Honestly, I don't think most people just drop a buyer who is commited like you are because you might have annoyed them. I think getting your money is more important.. That being said, what is the plan for moving out now? Do they have a new property to buy?0

that also happens much of the time - often seen as a goading tactic, really don't worry - all it indicates is that you are still keenNo41edwardianhouse said:
