So no tariff change issue then - just consumption.
Is this just a case of estimated (ie guesses by EDF) due to no actual being submitted ? Read your meter and see how it compares with whats on the bill .Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
Glad that bit is cleared up. Just need to know now why they are vastly over estimating my Electric, hopefully I will fine out tomorrow.0

@Robin9 I havent got an estimated Bill. They have done a 6month review on my account and said they need to increase my Direct debit.
My opening read in Sept last year for my electric was 5682 the read on 22 Feb was 6577 it says ( our read) at the side as I have a smart meter that is 153 days usage which equates to 895units0 -
They estimated my gas, and that is just about spot on.0

Submit your read of today - ask Chat for a bill - they will try and say it will prompt a DD review but when I did it didn't . When you have a bill in front of you you will have some facts to argue.
What does My Bills and Payments have to say about next bill due ?
PS I find EDF equally challenging - had to chase for a electric bill, Was due for a DD review today but it didn't happen.
No idea when I might get a gas bill - review due in July !

@Robin9 I got a bill dated 9th March I came by it by chance last Friday when for some reason I decided to check my app. The Bills end date was 22nd Feb. This is the bill that says about the DD and that it is based on an Estimate. I will certainly be contacted them tomorrow one way or another. Thank you for your help.. cannot believe I didn't think of the Vat 🤔0

How does your read of today compare with their estimate ?

I gave them the opening read when I moved to them after leaving Octopus, tbh I had a problem with my Electric from the beginning when Edf said they hadn't got the read from Octopus and Octopus said they had sent it, I was owed £120 from Octopus for over payments which I didn't receive for 14wks so I ended up getting compensation from them and Edf for the mess up. I've just read my Electric its reading 6703. So taking my opening read in Sept away i have used 1021 units in 172days. Thats an average of 5.9 a day..0
