lots of problems with vodafone, help!

I have been on vodafone for 12 months on a 18 month contract. I recently had a phone call from vodafone saying they was doing a survey and i would get £25 off my next bill for helping them out in the survey and IF i decided to extend my contract in may i would get £25 then.

10 days later i get a letter from vodafone saying congratulations on renewing your contract. Nothing was mentioned about this at all in the phone call at all apart from if i decided to. i contacted them and told them i had not agreed to this and it was the first i'd heard. all they said was i'd agreed to it. After being on 'hold' where i heard myself being called a liar i got told they could do nothing. I asked for a recording of the phone call which they didn't have. i had to ring up another line and cancel it there. I asked if i could be put through to a complaints department as i hadn't been treated well, in which all she could do was apologise. But because i cancelled the contract i would have to give vodafone £25 back. which i agreed.

i have now recieved my phone bill which is £67 and not the usual £40. I then rang them up again, in which i got told was the charge for cancelling the contract within the 14 days which i got told they couldn't help me as i'd agreed for the charge. I told the patronising woman that i agreed for £25 not £25 + £21 as well as £10 in vat that i don't normally pay. As a goodwill jesture she took £10 off, i said that wasn't acceptable and that i wanted to speak to someone higher.I was then put on hold again and told i couldn't speak to anyone higher but she could take off another £10 and that's all she could do. I am now in the process of writing them a letter as that is the only way to complain.

I am really angry, i keep getting lied too and too. All i want now is to end my contract with them and have some action done, they keep making out it's all my fault. I'm sure they think they can does this to me because i'm young.

if anyone has any suggestions about this bid mess it would be much appreciated.

I am really sorry to hear of the problems you've been having with Vodafone recently. This is not the usual high standard of service Vodafone pride themselves on.

Due to the nature of a forum i dont want to exhange personal details here so could you please contact me via the Vodafone online contact us form here. If you include the code FIT135 in the body of the email it will ensure it comes through to my team. Please either provide a brief description of the issue or paste a link to your post here.

I look forward to hearing from you and getting this matter sorted.
