    However if you dont ask you dont get....  I phone discussed the move and they are transferring the tariff for me.   So at present I pay £83 per month and in the new property that will be £64 a month, however had I not transferred I was quoted at £190 a month on a new fix rate.

    Never hurts to ask, and a good result.

    Don't forget you still have to open an account on the Standard Variable Rate with whichever supplier currently supplies the property, and give them meter readings. Then EDF can start the switch process. When I did that some years ago I was on the SVR for 17 days before my previous supplier completed the switch.
