You can often find it cheaper than full price at one supermarket or other if you shop around. I get a big jar, so it's cheaper and gives me time to find where it's going cheap before I run out. Decent jar too, so keeps very well.
Occasionally the 190g jars retail for less than £5, which is when I stock up.No man is worth crawling on this earth.

My food cupboards are full of recycled Douwe Egburts jars containing rice, lentils, sultanas etc. Luckily I managed to amass enough of them from our favourite instant before someone bought us a coffee machine and we changed to ground coffee.

At home, we don't drink instant. I buy organic beans and grind them for a French press or buy ground. Also my fave French coffee, from French Click.
Husband has a clever car gadget, which is a plug-in 12v travel mug and it boils water in abt 2 mins. I buy him Waitrose organic instant coffee and Clipper Latin American organic instant coffee when it's on offer. He likes both of them, a lot.1
