This is funny, but a great idea. My daughter (a bit toffy-nosed) throws away the ones she doesn't like and usually finishes up with just family and best mates.0 -
I only get 3 cards - so i don't have a problem.
Apart from no mates :-(
But do you send three? My son - age 48 "doesn't believe in cards" whatever that means and most years has hurt me by not sending a Mother's Day card
except that he has needed help in the past two years and I actually got one the year before last. On the front it said to my "BEST MATE" . Made up for a lot.0 -
Thank you everybody. Some great ideas. Wish I had some candle sconces - never seen them for sale actually. Also like the ribbon idea. I have not got any blue tac but going to Wilko tomorrow. Will also look for the cardboard tree which sounds quite nice. We get so many because we both belong to different social clubs, bowls and keep fit. Would you believe we still get cards from people we met on holiday in 1968 and other years since.0

The kitchen we have has beams and on the beams are loads and loads of hooks, aparently the previous owners used to have a cup collection. The must have had LOTS of cups as there are over 50 hooks. Anyway we just hole punch the card in the top corner and hang them from the ceiling. Saves decorating the kitchen and gets them out of the way.
We must be unpopular too as we never get enough to fill all the hooks. I am tempted to reuse last years to make it look better!!!

we ususally use a small blob of blue tac in each corner and hang them from our stairs , its a nice way to decorate the stairway without costing anything and with 4 kids we usually have the things coming out of our earsI am journeying to a debt-free life.

Hi, we display our christmas cards by slotting them in the wood on the dado rail and also the mirror over the fireplace, it looks very effective :T0
