I pin long lengths of inch wide ribbon to the tops of my internal doors and staple the cards to the ribbon so that the cards hang diagonally. Usually I do 3 lengths of ribbon per door. I put the pins in the top edge of the door, in the gap where the door closes so that I'm not left with any pin marks on the front of the door.

i lie them on the floor, face down, all touching in a long line (bit shorter than the length of a door) and then basically go down the backs with a long length of sellotape. i then pin them to the back of an internal door or onto a wall. looks nice and is dead easy, they never come off the tape.

    hope that is understandable!

    SOOOOO simple - Thanks!

I hate all the 'stuff' of xmas (Bah Humbug) including surfaces covered in cards. Was gonna go buy some ribbon to staple them too but have used this very MSE hint and they actually look great!!

  • I also sellotape mine to the living room door, i roll the tape over to make it double sided and close each card.

We borrow my mil's idea and just pile them all into a decorative bowl. People can look through them if they want, and it disguises the fact that we don't get many ;)

    We do this too!

  • We use a blob of blue tack and hang the cards on the under the stairs door in our living room, I hate having them being knocked off the fireplace or put in front of teh dvds so you have to move them everytime. At least on the door they can be seen, are neat and tidy and hopefully won't fall off.

We blu-tac back of one corner of card and then hang diagonally from the picture rail in our front room. When this is full we hang diagonally out in the hall on one wall - which is wood and gloss-painted so doesn't mark.

Just need to make sure I've cleaned the picture rail or the blu-tac doesn't stick of course. Usually looks good - but then we get a lot of cards (two teachers)

    Happy Christmas everyone.
    Where now?
