Options
Can anyone help me with this please? I have never managed to come up with a good idea for displaying them and I am not madeabout the cardboard things that hide most of the greeting card. What do you do??

a tiny tiny blob of blu-tak in a corner-
hang it diagonally (like a diamond )
Cover an alcove or over one wall....
  • When I can be bothered I put a few lengths of string up with drawing pins & hang the cards over with the fancy side facing outwards..
    Winnings :D

I got fed up with all the cards falling off the cardboard things / falling off shelves if anyone walked into the room and bought a couple of packs of mini pegs from ASDA (Something like 99p), I have silver string pinned up and little pegs holding the cards on by one corner - it looks much less cluttered and I will either keep the pegs for next year or otherwise use them in cardmaking.

Over 10 years ago we bought two of the wooden expanding trellis (sold in garden centres).
Every year they come indoors, expand to fit between the radiator and the ceiling. We then drawing pin the cards in a corner on the inside, so each hangs diagonally and we can read who sent them.
Simple effective re-useable and the wind doesn't blow them over
  • We borrow my mil's idea and just pile them all into a decorative bowl. People can look through them if they want, and it disguises the fact that we don't get many ;)

i lie them on the floor, face down, all touching in a long line (bit shorter than the length of a door) and then basically go down the backs with a long length of sellotape. i then pin them to the back of an internal door or onto a wall. looks nice and is dead easy, they never come off the tape.

    hope that is understandable!

I buy a roll of "gripping stuff" from B & Q. A roll of thick red tape - sort of double sided tacky tape....stick a length of it to the wall (doesn't pull off paint or wallpaper) and then press the cards onto it.

Me too!!! Have done for years.

As you say it is so easy.

I tilt the cards slightly so that they are at an angle the whole lot is hung from the top left hand corner of the top card. You can hang these 'strings' of cards all around the room if pinned or taped to the coving or picture rail.

I have candle sconces which i put a sort of dried foliage/candle arrangement on for xmas.. i have wired ribbon sewn to a sort of hook, which i hook over the point where the candle sconces join the wall. Then i staple the back of the card to the ribbon. This photo and this one show what i mean a bit better than i explain it. :)
