Depends how competent a DIYer you are, they are pretty easy to change and you can follow youtube videos.
You can test it though, there is a pin that moves in and out to control the switch that moves the diverter vale from heating to hot water.
Locate that pin on the valve, turn the hot water on and see if it moves out to press the switch if not. You can then manually press and hold the switch which should fire up the hot water.
If the pin does move out as intended then it's the PCB the PCB (most likely)0 -
Yes, I think I will do this..at least to ‘know’ it is or isn’t moving would be good.

I went to my flat to sort the boiler and strangely the green light came on when I put the tap on but no firing up of the boiler. No hot water and heating was off.
I put the timer thermostat ‘on’ and the heating didn’t come on. I reset the boiler and everything fired up. My lodger was saying that there was heating but no hot water and that he rebooted and still none?
I have no idea what happened here? Hmmm? I bought a diaphragm anyway..thank you for your help
