Morning everyone
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Still dark - dry underfoot.
DH watching catchup tv, I'm enjoying my first cuppa and a brekkie bar. DS1 still in his pit and DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was breaded chicken steaks, chips and beans for the menfolk. I had veg and rice. Not sure what we'll be eating tonight.
I was productive yesterday - one of those days where you just don't seem to stop. Looking forward to just doing a few jobs today then having some chill time.
Keep safe and well x

Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC. Hope you do manage to get some time for yourself..Yesterday deteriorated into a rainy day, looks as if today might be the same.Had a reasonable day yesterday, I started altering those trousers, not my favourite job ,but I'll finish them this weekend.I 'm going to Hobb*craft today for some bias binding, our local shop that sells haberdashery didn't have black or brown, I'll look at the card making stuff while I'm in but will take DH in with me as a link with reality so I'm not in all morning, wandering the aisles. I like that shop, it can be expensive though.Went to a friend's last night, we attempted to put the world to rights but don't think we succeeded.Hope everyone has a good day today, take care folks14

Morning all.Yesterday I got nothing done, the rain came and I retreated to my comfy chair for most of the day. Eventually I got up, did a bit of pottering and then made a big pot of bolognaise type meat sauce, it's not authentic as I added in lentils, leeks and peas to bulk it out and use up the leeks. It's now portioned up ready to go in the freezer.I had a lovely long chat with my SIL and a friend in Australia, the friend never forgets to phone on a Friday morning, I never remember so am always surprised by the call.As for today, no real idea again. The rain is pelting down still, I need some dry weather to gear me up.I hope that everyone is doing fine, happy Saturday to all.13

Morning all the rain has gone and the sun is out, albeit a bit watery looking, but its dry at least ,but the forecast is wet later.
I am off to my eldest DDs for dinner tonight as she has her ma-in-law Margaret staying for the weekend, so it will be nice to catch up with her.
Just got to drop DGS Jack off at his weekend job at 10.30, then home for a bit of a potter and maybe some knitting this afternoon.
Hope everyone is all OK and enjoying their weekend. Its getting lighter every morning now which is great and hopefully a nice spring ahead for us all
Take care and stay safe

Heating engineer turned up yesterday so yay! I now have hot water. Looking forward to a shower shortly.
Planted some seeds the other day and the rocket and basil are coming through but no sign of the coriander yet. Far to early to plant outside as we often get late frosts so will look after them indoors for sometime yet.
Have started a bit of charity knitting, just a Beanie hat at the minute.12 -

Morning All
Wet again but will visit the allotment this morning to start planning for this year. There's also some shopping to do.
If the weather doesn't cheer up I'll go and get some wool for another jumper for the little one. I'm not enjoying doing the one I'm knitting at the moment but will get it finished before I start another.
I had my eyebrows waxed after work so feel a bit better now, haircut later in the week so I'll be a bit smarter.
Work was really busy yesterday although some of the troublesome children were off, makes a big difference to everyone's stress levels! One of my Colleagues went home ill (again), makes for busy days for me but at least the day passes quickly.
Shame about your sofas Gers but you'll find something you like.
Pleased to hear you now have heating and hot water Poppy, I think it's the hot water I would miss the most.
Hope the poorlies are recovering, have a good weekend. Take care. XX11 -
