To answer your original question OP, I too make purchases online for my parent ( I have LPA). To evidence each purchase I print a copy of each order. In my case a lot of the items are delivered to me, hence I hand write “delivered to mum on xx day at x time and sign’. Sometimes I add further notes depending on what the items are I.e. two dresses requested by xx to replace, or toiletries requested by care staff on x etc. In my eyes this creates a narrative for anyone who might back check what has been done and also provides a prompt or me if anyone should ever question my actions. Order paperwork is saved with bank statements. In your case items are being delivered directly to MIL?2

A carer's card account might be helpful, but it probably wouldn't let you make all the online purchases you've been making.
