EDF current electricity tariffs to March 2022

I'm sorry that we can't give you a specific answer to your question - there's nothing on the Edf site either, indeed it says" Unfortunately due to ongoing energy market volatility, we do not currently have any tariff deals available"
There may be someone who took a fixed tariff in March - until they respond I don't think you will get anything specific - but they probably took the advice available - 1) if the fix has run out then let the tariff roll over or 2) if it's not run out - sit tight as you are on as good as it gets.
Do please take the advice that I gave - sign up for an online account in your relatives nameNever pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
The thing is you are asking about something which becomes irrelevant in a couple of weeks, comparing current E7 to current standard tariffs is almost entirely an irrelevance as they only run for a few more weeks, you would be better comparing future E7 vs future normal tariff to see what works out most cost efficient, although with the electricity usage as low as it is then it is unlikely to make much difference either way. You have also been told how to access the account details, as well as how to access tariff information which was your original question. Giving up would seem to be rather daft when you have the information you need to work it out.minorman said:I give up !0 -
Being rude won’t help. People HAVE tried to assist, and explained why what you’re looking to do is a waste of time as it would be purely retrospective. Surely whether she can save money going forwards is of far more help to her (regardless of what you want to do, this is about her energy use and costs, no?) than essentially teasing her with a “here’s what you could have won” scenario?minorman said:I give up !Work out her anticipated costs over the next year on her existing (or upcoming) tariff, and then on a single rate tariff - then you can compare the two and present her with information that will allow her to make an informed decision. As for people not reading things, there is a prominently positioned announcement post at the top of the board which explains your issue around the standing charges… 😉🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Surely the very first reply to this thread provided you with the way to find this out?minorman said:I don't think some of you actually read what I am trying to get information on which is the CURRENT E7 variable tariff0 -
On the bill you will find the name of the current tariff and you will also find the rate they are charging. For EDF you should find that on page 2 in the electricity section.minorman said:I don't think some of you actually read what I am trying to get information on which is the CURRENT E7 variable tariff which of course will end at the 31st March so I can break down her bill and see if the CURRENT NON E7 tariff would make any real difference. I have crunched the numbers by talking to her
and getting the info off of a bill over the phone
and the "guesstimate" looks like it is about 3p per day which is probably not worth it at the moment.
Just don't forget to multiply by 1.05 as the rate on the invoice is excluding VAT while the rates quoted include VAT.0 -
Do you specifically know this is necessary with EDF? Different companies will add VAT at different points in bills.pochase said:

I am with EDF and checked my bill before I gave the advice.Ultrasonic said:

I do give up . And, you haven't even begun knowing what rude could be. At the time I started this question I had only some current information and I could not find the new tariffs.
Pochase.-- thank you for your input but the problem with EDF in particular from the limited info I had at the time is that they have a tariff and possibly a different service charge for each area of the country so it's not easy !
I have advised her to stick with things as they are until next month when we can get an idea of where things are going. The problem is that she has a very low state pension income and what benefits she can claim on top of that do not for instance cover all her rent and other bills without a struggle so I need to help her as much as possible.0
