EDF current electricity tariffs to March 2022

I know costs are going up significantly in April 2022 but here is the problem.  First of all, has anybody been able to get a list of their CURRENT tariffs ?  I have searched the net and EDF's website but I just keep going round in circles as they say they are not taking any new customers now and unless I am already a customer I cannot see their tariffs.  I am trying to remotely sort out a problem for my sister down in Cornwall who is a low user of electricity from EDF but is stuck on an economy 7 variable tariff but uses very little at night.  It might be beneficial if she were to transfer to their standard variable (no E7) tariff . Unfortunately they will not discuss this over the phone with either me (brother) or her but just say that she should do this all online. To give an idea of her average daily useage it's about 5.77 KWh during the day and 1.5 KWh night rate !   She does not have any internet access so cannot sort it out or get any progress.  Her standing charge is over 24.5 p per day.

If you know the name of the tariff she is on then if you search that there will be a tariff document available. Her current tariff is visible in her online account, she does not need the internet to access this, you could do it, but they are correct they will not speak to you on the phone as you are not the account holder and if she has an online only tariff then it is correct that they will not speak to her online.

All historical tariffs can be found here: https://my.edfenergy.com/gas-electricity/tariff-information-labels
The current SVR is on the site and also in the My Account section, as will be details of the future account.

The new price cap which is where rates will be set is roughly £0.2834 per kWh and £0.4534 per day standing charge, there is a slight regional variation in these, but not much.

When does her current fix run out ?   As things stand today it might be best to stay put even with such a low off peak use.  Are you sure its only 1.5 KWh  - that suggests she is not heating any water at night.

They won't speak to you unless they hold a formal instruction from her - but you could be her on an online Chat.

PS This is my current fix (West Midlands) Sept 24 v2

Electricity: Electricity unit rate: 19.08 pence per kilowatt hour

    Daily standing charge

    Electricity: 20.89p per day

Have you a copy of her bill ?

As she has no internet I assume she has no online account.

You could do it all for her (I did for my MIL)  - set up an on line account  and then you will have the detail you want.

You are probably wasting your time, she uses slightly more than 20% at night so although may be a saving by changing, it will be minimal, especially as she is a low user.

The current tariffs won't really help you, they're changing in 3 weeks.
EDF's variable tariffs from April, inclufding all the regional variations and payment methods, and E7 rates, are on their rate card here.

I don't think some of you actually read what I am trying to get information on which is the CURRENT E7 variable tariff which of course will end at the 31st March so I can break down her bill and see if the CURRENT NON E7 tariff would make any real difference.  I have crunched the numbers by talking to her and getting the info off of a bill  over the phone and the "guesstimate" looks like it is about 3p per day which is probably not worth it at the moment.

The couple of links given above do work (one is very slow to work) but already EDF are now only showing their new tariffs FROM April 1st 2022 as far as I can see.

As found on the new rate table they have different rates for different parts of the country. What does shock me is that her standing charge looks like it will more than double on April 1st !  There can be no real justification for this as the "wires" are all there already and just need polishing.

Answering the question on heating, her landlord put in E7 and B great storage heaters but she has a Rayburn that already heats what is a small cottage using solid fuel and logs. It also provides hot water.

    @minorman

Thank you for the clarification re heating and hot water.

Do you know when her current fix finishes ?

@minorman I read and understood what you were asking for but the current E7 rates won't help you.
They'll only tell you how much you might have saved or overspent last month. You can't change that, it's done and dusted.
The thing you can change is whether to stick with E7 in the future, which is where the April rates will be useful.

Not sure why you want the old prices when the new ones take effect in less than 3 weeks. Surely better to know if it’s cheaper for her going forward than if she could have saved in the past which you can do nothing about
