Thank you. I haven’t appealed yet. I wasn’t sure if it was worth appealing as it was a mistake of the driver in the first place. Still at the figuring out what to do stage!

I am going to have another look tonight. I assume there might be a sign earlier up the road that suggests rules for parking before 6pm. We shall see …

Sorry but ........ you seem determined to hang yourself ! If ( as we think) it appears that you have a perfectly workable defence, why would there be any conflict as to what to do ??? Fight and win of course !

Actually, if we are right about no conditions prior to 6pm, then you did nothing wrong and there was no reason for a PCN.

You might chose to be more careful in future, that is different, but please do not fund the scammers

Thank you Trainerman and Coupon-Mad. All your replies have certainly made me think I have a reason to fight. I had thought I might take them on, simply as the PCN annoyed me, but hopefully, as you say, I have a perfectly workable defence.

I certainly don’t want to fund the scammers.

This is the 3rd time I have tried to reply to the previous posts, so apologies if all 3 suddenly appear, I haven’t meant to overly respond to this!

The driver forgot to enter their details, so it wasn’t a keypad failure. Although according to the guys at the gym, sometimes people do forget to hit the confirm button twice, so sometimes this does happen, just not in this case.

Are you sure?  I would be putting the claimant to strict proof that the keypad was working on the day and would not be blaming myself for the failure of their equipment!

So this is the signage displayed at the start of the road the gym is on. I haven’t broken any of these rules ….
