Connecting satellite dish

Hi, I have a sky dish but no box.. not interested in a subscription. There are 2 identical cables coming from the dish (both connected) but most decoding boxes / tv's with built in freesat only have one port. How do I connect my dish? Will it work with just the one cable connected or do I need some kind of adapter?
Thanks

If you are just talking about a FreeSat TV or decoder box which just lets you watch live FreeSat tv then you should only need to connect one cable.
If you were getting a FreeSat recorder, and you wanted to be able to record two programs at the same time, and the recorder has two connections on the back ( e.g. https://media.4rgos.it/i/Argos/2075868_R_Z008A ) then you would need to connect both.0 -
One cable will do - IF the low noise block (lnb) on the dish is compatible with the TV tuner...
If the dish/lnb was for $ky Q (a wideband lnb) it won't work and will need changing (or the purchase of a freesat 4k box that can work with the wideband one.
You'll do no harm in trying the connection 'as is', though into the TV no damage to either will occur.
A close inspection of the lnb (photo) of the label and connection point(s) will help accurately identify what is on the dish. Google wideband $ky Q lnb for pics.0
