EasyJet Holiday Complaint

Hello,
I'm hoping for some advice.
I travelled with easyjet on holiday to Cyprus. But there were a few problems along the way.
Firstly, there was no water on the plane. So basic things like handwashing, tea and coffee weren't available.
Secondly, when we arrived at the hotel, our hotel was closed. After waiting 2 hours to be contacted by easyjet, we were told to go to another hotel and check in. We were booked all inclusive, but ended up paying for a meal out as we had had a long day.
Thirdly, I requested some form of compensation for the whole series of events, and was given 10% of the holiday. Then I was told that any further complaints, I had tk do online.
Since complaining - I have had heard nothing back and every time I call, I get told to call someone else. I have been going round in circles asking for help and getting nowhere.

Can anyone help me? Am I entitled to a full refund because I was mis sold a holiday? If so, what should I be asking for and who do I contact?

Thanks in advance!

Why do you believe you were mis-sold a holiday?  Did the rest of the all inclusive holiday work out as what you expected?

  • The rest of it was fine. But I had booked the hotel specifically for the activities and facilities that we wanted that we couldn't do at the hotel we were put in. It was also closer to a family member we wanted to see, but couldn't because of travelling. The original hotel was an adults only, the other wasn't. I know it sounds like I'm being picky, but I paid for a special trip for my mum and I, and whilst it was still great, it had this dampener on it.
Does it sound like I'm wasting my time?

I think the most you can expect is a partial refund considering your flight went ahead and you were moved to another hotel. It does sound like a really unfortunate experience though. Why was your hotel closed do you know?
  • No idea why it was closed. But it was closed from before I booked it and at no point was I contacted about it being closed. It's really upsetting to turn up somewhere and be told by a lovely man that the hotel is closed.

Full refund...? Absolutely not, it wasn't mis sold, things just went wrong. If your only extra expense was 1 meal, then 10% doesn't seem unreasonable.

You would only be entitled to a full refund if your holiday had been cancelled .

Sometimes things go wrong - Easy jet fixed the problem with the accommodation and have given you a 10% refund/ compensation for the inconvenience of lack of facilities on your outward flight and a 2 hour delay in getting accommodation .
