RHI Payments Application

Hi,
We had a air-source heat pump fitted last year (May 2021) and were advised we would get around £700 annually as RHI payment.
We were having some building work done at the time, so they couldn't finish the work (two radiators to be fitted in the new extension) but were told it would be finished by the end of the year, ie 2021.
I recently found out that the company hadn't filed the paperwork for the RHI payments, so I started to do this myself, but the company asked me not to do this until the system was fully installed.
I am now concerned as I have heard the scheme ends at the end of this month, we weren't too worried as we still owe them some money to finish the job but this isn't as much as the RHI will be worth to us.
Any advice is welcome.
Thanks,
David

I think the installing company have to file the application as they have to be MCS approved. The bit you have to do as a consumer is very little and very quick.
As long as it's done before the end of March you'll be OK. It might be worth suggesting to the installer that they won't be getting paid if they miss the deadline but I realise that's a difficult conversation to have. Is the work scheduled for any time soon?
I'm not sure if the scheme will allow a partially completed system to be registered but I think they might. It's worth calling them. I had some issues with my MMSP monitoring and they were quite helpful. They actually gave me a deadline to get some changes done that was after the end of March so they might be flexible with you. In the end I got it sorted a couple of weeks ago and they accepted my registration.
Good luck!0
