Remove your vehicle's registration marks from your post. They uniquely identify you.

The parking companies trawl this forum just looking for people to trip themselves up.

Having used the reg no to identify the parking incident, it would be very easy for them to decide who was driving.
Suggest you edit your post Today at 2:43PM as the last paragraph does give away the driver's identity.

Apart from that, why have you mentioned two registration marks?
Is it necessary? If it is, then you need to add a little bit to explain what that's all about.
Thank you, this has been done, it was a really good spot on your behalf!

I have two as my vehicle changed reg number when I got new reg plates as a gift
  • Shouldn't this sentebce in 5 be 'per parking charge' as (going by the inflated amount) this must be a multi ticket case?
because it cannot have been over £100 per parking charge.

Thank you!! I have amended, do you think I will need more detail in 3 as to why there are multiple and some sort of defence for that, or is that unnecessary?

Unnecessary. Cover it at WS & evidence stage later.

Not advised on a Friday evening (after close of business), so many defences have been 'lost' over the weekend when no CCBC staff are actually working. The Defendant has been blissfully unaware of this, until they receive a judgment in default around the time of their submission deadline, then there's a real mess to sort out.

Leave it until Monday, after 9am (but before your deadline of 4pm), and look for an auto-reply acknowledging receipt of your Defence - not even sure how 'auto' that is, it seems to me that a member of staff has to have sight of your Defence, then pressing the 'auto' button!
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

That's really useful to know, thanks Umkomaas! I will send it off on Monday
  • Just to update you all, the defence was submitted at midday on the 21/3 and I had a confirmation email from CCBAQ - thanks for all your help!! I know I have to do the N180 and WS, do you know the expected timeframes for these? Am I missing any additional steps here?

Thank you so much for all your help on this matter @KeithP, @Coupon-mad, and @Umkomaas !!

I had a confirmation letter through the following week after submitting my defence stating that it was received and the claimant has until the 21st April to submit their documentation. I was wondering, are there any other steps aside from the WS and N180 for me to complete? If you know them, the possible timeframes would be great to know too?

All info to help you is already in the NEWBIE sticky (second post) particularly under a red banner called "Know what happens and when".  What documentation is the letter stating that the claimant must supply and to whom?  Normally they only have to confirm they are proceeding with the claim.
