The deal is with the boiler, and not myself. That is a very large 'red flag', that is how the 'rent-a-roof' schemes ended up causing all sorts of problems when people want to sell their home. The details should be in the paperwork, but it sounds like it is some form of lease which they would transfer to a future owner of the property if you wanted to sell.It potentially also leaves you tied to them for your energy supply for the duration of the lease. If you can get your hands on the actual paperwork so you can work out the details it would be interesting to hear more, but under no circumstances should you sign anything they want to bring with them but not send you in advance to review at your leisure..2 -

I will ask them for the paperwork and see what it stipulates.
But I'm certainly blowing a bit colder now than I was.
Thanks for responding.0 -

If this is the company, then it has been in existence for just over a year with one Director.

Getting back to the opening post:number73ntm said:Basically, it's fitting of a new eco boiler (93% efficient), flushing of the system (worth £500), fitting of a magnet descaler, limescale and a new Hive system.
There are no up front costs, but the promise they will save you around 45% on your gas bills. The saving you make you pay towards the system / fit etc.* Well, not unless they replace your gas boiler with an electric one, which would technically reduce your *gas* bill but you wouldn't believe what it would do to your electric one!Also:... flushing of the system (worth £500) ...Any salesman who needs to tell you what his added extras are "worth" is likely to be a grifter. Just think of infomercials.

As a general rule though I would NEVER consider any 'offer' that came via a cold call.3
