Oh well done on YouGov - those payouts are like the poo of unicorns being ridden by leprechauns! How grim about the covid though - do make sure you rest up as much as you can.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Thanks all. EH your description of a YG payout did make me laugh!
Our battery is currently charging ready to discharge during tonight’s saving session - assuming we’re back at £2/kWh tonight, rather than the £4 last week. We’re up by £16 so far this winter (less the cost of charging it up beforehand, but that’s considerably less).Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Morning all,
I am feeling *so* much better today. Still not 100% by any means (and I'm still testing positive 😏) but my head is clear(er) and I'm breathing normally (as in, through my nose, not that I was having major difficulties or anything). Managed to have a bath and wash my hair last night too - which always helps. I was very wary of having a shower as that's what seemed to trigger the fatigue last time, so this was a good compromise. At least I'm not utterly revolting anymore! 😂
I've got so much to do though. I've basically done nothing for Cambridge this week, which is just tough - they are fine (I think) about it. But that will catch up with me next week, especially as I'm meant to be going for a Christmas lunch with them on Tuesday. But I need to finish this piece for main client (who has also been lovely) and I've not even started on the piece for UK based client (due before Christmas, but that is rapidly getting close!). I've bought a sum total of 3 partial Christmas presents so far (two haven't arrived yet) and haven't made the mincemeat or the Christmas pud. I obviously can't do these until I'm lurgy-free either. In my head I've already cancelled people coming on Boxing Day, which they have been for a few years now - but I've not actually communicated this to anyone (although I hadn't invited them either, but it's Christmas - people do the same thing year in, year out).
If we're well enough (and testing clear), we're meant to have having dinner with friends on Saturday and we've got tickets for the WSL match at the Emirates on Sunday - I really want to go to that!
Anyway, enough moaning. My brain (and Mr MV) aren't here to give the info on the Amex card, except to say that, yes Cheery, it's a paid for one (£550 this year, and going up next year 😬). LaPlan, with all your travelling (and taste for the finer things in life), it might be worthwhile for you - but don't sign up yet - there's a really good referral offer available (for both you and us) - an insane amount of points available.
MS things:
* Opened a NW RS at 8% yesterday. Not sure why it took me so long, although partly because I've already tied up £2k of the EF in a NS&I bond.
* Still doing the longitudinal study on PA
* Clicks and HW have largely been done
* 1P was really good yesterday - over £18 now, can I reach payout before Christmas?
* YG money has arrived
* No sign of Y Live cheque yet
Gratitudes:
* FIL dropped round a mountain of drugs and bananas yesterday
* Moderna hope to bring out a paid-for vaccine next year - I will be first in line
* I feel 'better'. Not perfect, but at least vaguely human.
Have a good day all!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days
