That is one mutha of a doggy!

I'd be much more concerned about the cost of feeding it.

Not that big - on the small side compared to the average Labrador, for example.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

I bought two electric throws from Amazon.  To me, they weren't particularly cheap at £33-36 each.  Neither lasted long, although wonderful to use when they did work.  When I could see a scorch/brown mark on the last one after it stopped working I decided I'd go for 'passive' heat and now rely on thick fluffy fleece (to work, they have to be thick and fluffy) dressing gowns and fur lined slippers/socks etc which keep me just as warm, particularly useful as I move around quite a bit (bit awkward, can't take a plug in electric blanket with you lol).  We also use fleece blankets and I have a fleece duvet cover (don't get fluffy duvet covers, they shed lol) which means I don't even use my heated underblanket anymore.., just don't need to. Anything that helps reduce my utility bills with April rises around the corner.

Mind you, when I answer the door in my fluffy dressing gown, I'm pretty sure whoever is on the other side of the door thinks I spend all day in bed lol.

I ended up going with the john lewis dreamland throws. two year guarantee and only slightly more expensive than amazon at £52

we've also got blankets but if you're already cold then its hard to warm yourself up for a blanket to help so i think having this as an option will be good.

they all seem to be about 120x160 which is a little smaller than we'd like for the sofa but we're managing. have to snuggle ;)

dog hasn't broken it yet! ;)

It's amazing how those with a can-do attitude and willingness to 'pitch in and work' get all the luck, isn't it?
