I am still to make a decision regarding my other LBC from Gladstone.
But this is easy to handle, as per the LBC section of the NEWBIES thread.

Perfectly defendable but get into the Gym Manager again and INSIST they deal with this or contact the site owner, if it's not them, and get this stupid PCN cancelled:
The one I have mentioned above - from Gladstones solicitors -  it is from my gym, for more than a year ago. They have issued a ticket while I have allegedly ocuppied one of the bays which was not designated for the gym. Utterly idiots , as my gym's parking bays are from 1-6 (I did not know at the time) and I have actually parked in bay 7 which is on the same row. I have asked one of the gym's managers if they can address this confusion with the relevant company, but was told to ignore it and bin all the letters

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

    Hi all,

I have now received a Claim Form from Gladstones solicitors on behalf of UK Car park Management regarding the situation mentioned above (my late night visit to my friendțs estate). YES, I admit that out of ignorance and lack of confidence and other various reasons I have not followed the process after receiving my Letter before Claim.

Not sure what to do in my case, the information is overwhelming. I was initially planning  to use the template defence as  elaborated by @KeithP ( https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6108153/suggested-template-defence-to-adapt-for-all-parking-charge-cases-where-they-add-false-admin-costs/p1)  but I am not sure if I need to add any additional personal information - I dont want to look like an idiot in front of the court.

If I decide to pay (the amount has now gone up to 271) and I currently can”t afford to pay it all. Is there a possibility to make an agreement to pay it in small amounts? Do I need to contact Gladstones in order to arrange this?

Believe me, I hate doing this but I just do not want to fail somewhere in this whole lengthy process.

With a Claim Issue Date of 5th May, you have until Tuesday 24th May to file an Acknowledgment of Service. Do not file an Acknowledgment of Service before 10th May, but otherwise there is nothing to be gained by delaying it.
To file an Acknowledgment of Service, follow the guidance in the Dropbox file linked from the second post in the NEWBIES thread.

Having filed an Acknowledgment of Service in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Tuesday 7th June 2022 to file your Defence.
That's over four weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute.
To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look again at the second post on the NEWBIES thread - immediately following where you found the Acknowledgment of Service instructions.
Don't miss the deadline for filing an Acknowledgment of Service, nor that for filing a Defence.

Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.

I have read your guidance regarding on how to file the AOS and it is relatively clear to me.. however what I am afraid I will stumble upon is the actual Defence, this is overwhelming for me. In my case (parking at my friend s estate for an hour or so) can I use the template in its entirety without adapting it?(this would be much simpler). I am currently reading another post (http://parking-prankster.blogspot.co.uk/2016/11/residential-parking.html) but not sure how relevant it is to me and what exactly I could argue, the signage, etc.
Additionally should I admit I was the driver?

For example knowing more or less the location I have parked in, and if required later on, I will have to take some photos of the signage and then taking these photos from that location, will that not imply indirectly that I would somewhat admit me being the driver considering I know the location of the parking premises I have parked on.

How on earth does someone taking photographs imply that the budding David Bailey was the driver?
How many seats in your car? Could you have been a passenger?
The driver is allowed to talk to the keeper you know. During that conversation the keeper will learn exactly where the vehicle was parked and all other pertinent detail.

You have a whole month in which to create a Defence.

Have you not noticed that most of your Defence is already written for you?

You only have adjust two tiny paragraphs.

Loads of people do this every day on here. Look around. See how others manage.

But as I said... don't leave it to the last minute.

    Understood,  thanks @KeithP
.Is it too much to ask which are the two paragraphs I need to change? Is it 2) and 3)?
Regarding me, admitting I was the driver, would this not constitute an advantage providing is my friend that lives at the respective address and in case I will need his lease contract.

I will keep you posted on how the process is going and I hope you don't mind me "bugging" you with more questions..at the end of the day this blog is the only support I can get.
