What to do with incorrectly drilled tap hole in Granite Composite Kitchen Sink?

While installing my new Granite Composite kitchen sink, my "not so aware" builder started drilling on the wrong cutout for the tap hole (See the attached picture):

Essentially, he started to drill the hole at the bottom instead at the top :( I was wondering, is there any way to cover this up in such way that it is aesthetically pleasing?

Any suggestion will be highly appreciated.

Get your builder to purchase a replacement at their cost and do the job properly.

There are people who can come and repair with a colour matched epoxy.  Try plastic surgeons fine fillers.  Not massively cheap but less disruptive than replacing.

You could fairly easily put a 'tap blank' there, if you want...

They come in a range of colours, finishes etc...

This is a cheap one - but you can get nicer expensive ones as well

I would not accept any remedy other than the builder paying for a new sink
    Absolutely this.

School boy error, should have replaced it without you even knowing!

Your call, wisdenfan; you can insist on a replacement, or you could consider a quality blanking plate which sports the make of the sink positioned there instead.
Bear in mind that some sinks come pre-drilled (or some used to, at least), and had such a plate supplied as standard. In fact, if your sink is a cheapy ( ), then a plate bearing 'Blanco', 'Elkay' or 'Franke' could be an asset...
Oh, and coupled with at least a 50% discount on the sink cost, of course.

Plastic sinks can be repaired easily with epoxy repair. Assuming it's £100 sink I'd replace if it'll annoy you all the time though.
Whether you demand that the tradesman pays for it depends on whether you are likely want to use them again.
Trades are in high demand so falling out over a sink might be counter productive.
