We are going to the Canary Islands in a few weeks time and was checking our paperwork etc. We both have NHS vac certs in paper form but these are dated July 2021 so two questions :-
a) Are these still valid date wise ?
b) If not can we get new ones from the NHS.
I know we will have the info on our phones but like paperwork copies.

You'll likely need a Covid travel pass from the NHS website:
https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/get-digital-covid-pass/
I've just come back from Germany - and it got scanned in every restaurant and cafe I visited.2 -
not sure if the date has changed but previously anything before 1st November 2021 was not valid

I’m currently in the Canary Islands , my second visit this year, I have a Covid pass on my phone and printed out my own paper copy in case of issues. The print yourself ones do have an expiry date on them, do the ones supplied by the GP surgery not have any indication at all of expiry? Might it not be easier to just download and print of a copy via PDF from your phone, the facility is there.
As for needing it when here, I haven’t been asked at all for it apart from my current hotel that wanted a paper copy alongside my passport when I checked in and one bar on Tenerife. Other than those 2 I have used bars, shops, restaurants etc with absolutely no issues , there is also very little mask wearing going on- although I don’t know what level we are currently supposedly at.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Just an update , Went to the local Primary Care centre with a friend ,whilst there asked about an updated Vacc Cert and was told to phone 119 and request a new one ,have done that and should have it in about 5 days so should have paper copy and phone for back up ,will return and update when they arrive.1

The paper Covid Pass is currently only valid for 30 days.
I believe the digital pass is the same.
So it might be best to apply a week or so before your trip, and be aware you might need a second pass depending on the length of your trip.0 -

I know we can try and print off the App but as i am one of those that likes everything in paperwork format at the airport i thought a proper certificate would speed things up at Newcastle and Gran Canaria although the way things are going we might not need them shortly.0 -

However, it was barely even looked at on my recent trips.Incidentally the one printed off at home shows all 3 doses, with the dates you had them and also the type you were given.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
