I emailed customer service regarding exits fees
    They have responded
"after the 14 day cooling off period you would have to pay the exit fees on the tariff which are £100 for gas and £100 for electric. As for switching tariffs, currently if the fixed tariff is accepted you are locked in that tariff for the term of the tariff and the only way to exit it would be to switch suppliers"
    Even though T&C says "
“If you move to another tariff with us, there are no exit fees”
I am a bit confused ? To be fair the fix is a decent price , just don't like the £200 exit fees ...
    Regards

They are referring to if you are offered and move to another BG tariff then the exit fees won’t be applied but if you move supplier the exit fees will be applied.

I guess customer service is suggesting that perhaps no other BG tariffs will become available to switch to at the moment so the only way to exit is to change suppliers rather than a BG tariff change that may have been available in the past part way through a contract.

I've just read the eon fixed term conditions. It seems you can switch to another tariff or leave whenever. Which may incur an exit fee.
