Does an executor need to be granted Power of Attorney / Would probate office send them form Pa11?

If the will was not changed to name her then she is NOT an executor, that only applies to named people in a will.
Check if a grant has been issued(I suspect not)

Have you seen the will?
If thereis complexity it may have taken a while to sort things out but if comunication has broken down and no grant then might be time for someone to step up or hand over to solicitor and take a hit.
Ask for the current "inventory and account", 1.5years there should be one even if not complete.

Hello and thanks for the replies.
- I have used the probate registry search tool, but it shows no results for my late father.
- I do have a copy of the will, yes.
- Have looked at email records (between my mum & sister), but there is nothing showing my mum actually signing any document/form to legally make my sister the executor.
Simply is the form filled-in by the original executors showing them relinquishing, but nothing showing it legally being granted to my sister after that. - Updates/inventory have been requested from my sister, by my mum, 10-12x over the past 1.5 years | But on every occassion she has just been told varying things (such as it's being done/probate has been requested/it's a complex process and she doesn't have time to provide constant updates... ect)
As it appears my sister has never legally held the role of officially being the executor, simply 'adopted & acted-in' that role for the past 1.5 years...
I am now trying to encourage my mum to simply employ a local solicitor's firm to take-over the role of being executor.
Sadly she keeps on wanting to just ''give things time & see how things go''.0 - I have used the probate registry search tool, but it shows no results for my late father.

I would consider the less than tactful approach of say.Anonymous868 said:Hello and thanks for the replies.- I have used the probate registry search tool, but it shows no results for my late father.
