your lack of internet access is making things harder for you.I have only been able to contact BGAS by phone (except for one Chat).emails and texts have been blocked.Have you been able to contact BGAS with the internet?I would have loved to be able to do this, but BGAS seem to be forcing people to use the phone to contact them.not having internet would have cost me hundreds on pounds over the next 18 months.I don't understand this. Could you explain please.0

So asking and being told it would happen does not mean it will and at no point was i told there was any issue or rejection, it just didn't happen. So unless you can see it on your account then you won't be on it.
Haven't received any letter / email about a price rise in April due to having successfully got onto the tariff so that suggests you weren't successful unfortunately.0 -

just be aware that each case where it was accepted it was a 'mistake' so there is no precedent set for others as it was not really available even on the dates when people got lucky.I think that is a good point.
Remember, though, that BGAS have not told me that the change was rejected.
It is now 5 months since I sent in a letter of complaint (for a number of issues) and BGAS will not talk to me about it.

Remember, though, that BGAS have not told me that the change was rejected. But have you had any message from BG to say that the change has been implemented? BG are under no obligation to tell you about things they haven't done.Fundamentally, you have no evidence that your request to switch was successful.

There must be something I am missing here.
If I make an agreement with someone, then the onus is on both parties to implement it.
Yet everyone seems to be saying that the onus is on me to keep checking that it is being processed.
And, also, that the agreement isn't valid until it is actually put into practice.
This doesn't make sense to me.0 -

Could you point me to a post that describes this please.0 -

This doesn't make sense to me.This might explain how you've got into the position you're in now.Your request to the BG CS representative was exactly that, a request. The CS rep said they would pass that request on. That is not the same as BG accepting your request. You will know BG have accepted your request when BG email you to say they have.If BG haven't emailed you, they haven't accepted it.N. We were initially transferred to a tariff that matched our Ebico deal - and in fact BG actually extended that for a few months past the point where the deal with Ebico would have expired. For us at least, once that initial tariff expired they were unable to offer us anything else with zero standing charge and at the time Utility Point offered a fix that beat whatever BG could offer, so we upped and left....if only we'd known!
It was during subsequently moving house that the problems started.
At the end of a call I made to inform BGAS of the address change, I was told I could not keep my old Ebico tariff after the address change. I found out later, that this was not true.1
