No nothing serious @Squirrelz92 just a minor treatment. I am not exactly creative but youtube and our craft cupboard will save the day i think!
Today is just another day of things going wrong...my dad sent £50 for our Christmas present and i had a bald tyre and another one needing changing so spent an extra £10 on 2 part worn tyres...thats our Christmas present!
Other than that the usual, tea is from stores and in the oven, been to work. I am going to need extra petrol as i am down to 30 miles, get paid Wednesday so i am hoping £25 will see me through as thats all i have left now.
Tomorrow other than fuel planning no other spends still looking at a present for dd with my vouchers and will try and have a go at some more surveys to help me raise some Christmas funds, dd still has not said what she wants, tbh she said there is nothing she wants. Not sure if thats a good or bad thing. Got some plans for next week, general sorting, find some stuff to sell including an old ps4 and dds old phone, i am aiming to make £250 next week selling stuff but im not sure but i will definitely give it a go.
No heating on this evening, only an hour this morning currently under £4 but my budget is £6 a day i went over 34p yesterday so will try and get it back today.1 -
A small lie in on a Saturday morning not exactly great but could be earlier, so i am happy with what i have.
Todays plans:
i am aiming for minimum spend, if not a nsd.
Take dd to her club, take drinks with me.
Dd is being treated today by one of her clubs to an evening out, so i am taxi but will take drinks just not sure if i can take them in.
General housework
All food from stores
Put away clean washing
Do some washing and try to dry not using tumble dryer.
Look at budget for more areas to reducs costs.
Keep looking for items to sell.
Do 20 mins surveys
Keep energy as low as possible.
Top up screenwash in the car...i keep saying this but then the weather is really bad or its really dark when i get back.
Right off to make a start!0 -
Another weekend gone...i started with the best of intentions and i am not sure where it went. I ended up taking dds friend to the evening out...no money spent so an extra £2 in drinks then she had not had tea...apparently still not sure about that one so had to grab them both something on the way home along with dds other friend, ended up £20+...i have told oh, never again will i make that mistake and i wont be taking anyone else. Thats my moan, dd did not have her Sunday club today so i had a relaxing morning, needed some food for a top up, order groceries to be delivered with 50% discount, 15 items delivered for £14 i can cope with that, just need some dog food to last until payday on Wednesday.
Each day this week i am finding and selling and item, aiming for £250.
Tomorrow's plans
Do the moutain of washing
Tea in the sc and all food from stores
Do monthly meal plan for Nov.
Do monthly food shop.
I have £30 voucher given to me by mil, so will try and get what i can from there on Tuesday, but thats for tomorrow's list then i will update the food shop for Wednesday
Take dd for appointment in the morning.
Look at clearing and resetting dds old phone and process cashback on returning it.
Monitor gas and electric.
£15 petrol....the appointment was further than i thought and i wont make it there on whats left in my car.
General housework
Look after dd, this is obviously my main one but she said she will prob spent the day in bed and just call me what she wants something.
Bake a cake, to cheer up dd.
Tidy out main food cupboard and clean the shelves (not too bothered if this rolls over due to the size of the list)
Baking is something i think i need to do more, as i do enjoy it, it costs pennies and it is something nice when i fancy something sweet, i will see how i get on tomorrow but i may try and bake a few things through the week.
Time to get in my pjs and relax for half an hour before bed.0 -
Oh how annoying that after all your saving to have to take a £20+ hit when doing a favour.
Life's ups or downs, your posts are so positive I know you'll keep on keeping on until you get there.1 -
Hello @jusferbrowsing thank you for your lovely message, it has really uplifted my day. I am not sure if my messages are very positive i am just trying to not let the bad times define me as thats what i dont feel in control and i spend money i dont have....
Today so far the list has been hammered, i think I only need to sort dds phone to sell then i have somehow done everything. I am feeling really positive but tired, i honestly didnt think i would do it all. Off to sort my last load of washing out then finish off tea. I also made brownies from a mix i had, they have gone down really well.
Will return with tomorrow's list after tea along with an idea of what i am selling tomorrow.1 -
Had my tea, then a nice relaxing evening with oh and dd. Again i am feeling really accomplished after today but need to get on with things for tomorrow and sort dds old phone out shortly.
Tomorrow's plans
General housework
All food from stores
Go to icyland and spend voucher given to us, if possible reduce things from this months bigs shop, along with a frozen turkey for Christmas dinner. I am buying one or two items each week so hopefully turkey and stuffing this week, it will help in the long run with the Christmas shop.
Do more washing and try to dry outside if possible.
Put away clean washing
Look at what i can sell tomorrow to raise more for xmas fund.
Feeling quite happy only 2 more payments of dds xmas present for last year amd 2 more water payments, that will save approx £150 a month...that is a shocking figure, but i won't be in debt to the water company and completely paid and up to date, which is a lovely feeling. With how things are atm with our household finances even when the water payments restart i will be nearly £100 a month better off. These debts are starting to go down bit by bit and i will hopefully starting feeling a bit of breathing space, which will help massively.
I am also being more careful with the little things, i had been saving my vouchers for something nice for dd for xmas, i managed to get 2 pairs of boots in the sale for £34 delivered, now the total should have been £84 so that is a huge saving on something dd will absolutely love, previously i would have just wasted it as its "free money" on random rubbish but now im thinking of it in terms of cash (even tho its not) so i am trying to spend wisely.
Still no idea what dd wants as a main present for xmas i keep looking for ideas for her too but i am struggling. Will keep looking.0 -
Had a good day, not done much past 2pm. Went to icyland, with my voucher, spent £17.50 in cash on things cheaper than on my online shop for tomorrow. I also got some things, £6 spent for xmas shop, along with dog food so i am happy with that. Unfortunatelyi couldnt get my turkey as they don't come out for a few more weeks, i have however, removed all the stuff i had brought today from online shop, current total including todays spends are £197.50 for November big food shop, but as always all meals are in the freezer will only need fresh and sandwich stuff. I am going for the £300 budget this month, with no exceptions.
Unfortunately the only thing i didnt do was sell something but i have found dds old tablet, still like new i have charged it and it works fine. Will ask oh to post on marketplace tomorrow if he gets chance, i also forgot to put away washing will add to list for tomorrow.
Tomorrow's plans:
Payday tomorrow!
Dd has her club, £3 to spend.
Food shop coming.
Need to pop to my moms to collect something for dd.
All food from stores.
Dry washing outside
Put away washing
Keep energy under £6
Make a phone call about one of my debts, need to change date.
General housework
Find something to sell.
Look for main present ideas for dd.

Im back!yesterday did no go to plan, i ended up rushing up the hospital for my mom, shes fine now but spent £10 on drinks for us and £8 on a delivery using a code on some bits for Christmas.
Today i have used carpet cleaner to clean downstairs carpets, oh is going to do upstairs, looking and smelling better already! Cleaned up, done 1 load of washing, some is in the dryer, second load is in the washer. I am waiting for my hairdresser to do my hair. Had a discussion with oh about a weekend break next year, have booked with £30 deposit, £120 for the weekend with all passes included. We need something to look forward to! So a bit expensive but very productive today. Me and oh discussed bills and his debts, again very successful and we are approaching it like mine, tackle 1 then move on to the next. Lots of bills have come out today but no more spending except my hair, £50 it sounds a lot but its the only money i actually spend on myself and every 2 months, and i need to look presentable for my job and gives me confidence!
Yesterday i also received food shop, the substitutions we wild...cat food instead of dog food, call up as i wasnt here oh was, and they refunded it, got £29 towards next food shop so this weeks fresh order for sandwiches is paid for! And will need to replace some items but £10 goodwill given in that so very happy here! Neighbours cat is also very happy!
The rest of todays plans:
Spend nothing more except hair
Clean upstairs
Find something to sell.
Sort paint out for oh to decorate next week, we have everything just need to get it out ready.
All food froms stores.
Oh to clean upstairs carpets
Keep energy under £6.
Do some surveys
Look at plans and ideas for over Christmas holidays.
Write letters to ohs credit cards asking for a break on his astronomical interest rates.
That's all for today i think and enough to get started with.0 -
Just pondering here how even a computer algorhythm (sp) can think that cat food is an acceptable substitute for dog food. I think their's needs some work.

@badmemory i am the same, my niece picks shopping for @sda and she said it comes up what to substitute but she never gives something like that despite what the computer says, its not my favourite substitution tho...instead of pasta bake they send lasagne white sauce...im pretty sure they make 2 different meals and i hadnt even ordered anything lasange based in the shopping. Beyond strange to me. I am guessing someone picked the shoppi g who 1. Has never food shopped or cooked or 2. Was majorly hungover they are the only 2 explanations i can think of.0
