Just remember once you've started or restarted it you need to unlock it (*) to 'enable all apps' (or something similar)* = assuming that you've set up some sort of lock (recommended)I always restart mine at bedtime as it stops annoying notifications coming through but someone can still phone me if it's urgent!1 -

No, it'll prompt you to insert one as part of the setup but you can skip that step.0

... also, if you have Whatsapp, back it up on the old phone, then remove sim and put it in the new phone asap and set up, otherwise you may miss out on the transfer of some messages

I found that page, too, just by using Google.
Whenever I have bought a Motorola phone, it has had a quick start guide in the box. It's pretty basic, but it at least shows which button is the power button. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?1 -

While you might not need one for the set up, unless you plan to use the phone only for data access using wifi then you'll need a SIM at some point so why not put one in now?

To be fair to the OP, the newer Moto phones now have 4 buttons on the side with an extra (and pretty much pointless) Google assistant button so you can instinctively press the wrong one assuming it is the power button.GDB2222 said:TELLIT01 said:
