Letter of Claim from QDR solicitors on behalf of ZZPS

Hi all,

I parked in a hotel in November 2020 and forgot to register my car with the front desk but I was entitled to free parking had I done so, I didn't. I received a Parking Notice Fine, which I paid in January 2021. I've not heard anything regarding this since.

Last week I received a letter from QDR Solicitors, a letter of claim with 30 days to reply. I left a voicemail with the solicitors reminding them I've paid and requested a call back. It's been a week and no call. I emailed ZZPS confirming that I had paid this fine already, attaching the evidence from my bank statement of the payment to their online portal.

As I've said, it's been a week and I haven't heard from either of them despite reaching out. Next steps? Am I good to continue ignoring as this is something I have already paid, but on their website it says I haven't - I suspect they've done this somehow as I have the payment evidence from my bank.

Thank you in advance.

Why did you pay instead of getting the hotel to cancel the invoice, or appeal it if they didn't want your repeat custom?

Never, ever, 'phone a parking company or their agents.

ZZPS are powerless debt collectors and can safely be ignored. If QDR are acting on behalf of ZZPS, then it's just another debt collector letter. You now know what to do about debt collectors.

What is the name of the PPC? Complain to them that you already paid the charge. Complain to their trade association as well, and to your MP.

You should also read the sticky Announcement for NEWBIES that tells you everything you need to know about these unregulated parking companies referred to as rogues, scammers, and bloodsuckers by UK MPs across all parties.

Shame you paid .... don't do it again :)

You have proof you paid and you are dealing with unprofessional fools.

For starters, ZZPS cannot instruct QDR or any other daft legal

With no reply from QDR or ZZPS must show you that you are dealing with complete and utter ignorance

Both are BPA members so no surprise then ???

So sad you paid it and didn't just get the Hotel to cancel it.  They should now crawl back under their stone but this wasn't something to pay.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
