Hi all, im currently locked into an 18month broadband deal(sky superfast, ends october) and i have just recieved the letter to advise of a price rise. As virgin are offering much improved speeds for around the same price i was wondering if i can cancel without penalty? Currently paying £24.50 a month and this will be rising to £26.50.
Just double checking before proceeding.
Regards
Craig

What does your contract say? Most recent ones have in them that there will be an annual rise, which would mean that it is not a reason to exit penalty free.0

Hi, thanks for the reply.
I don't have the contract to hand i'm afraid, however the last paragraph of the email(apologies, not a letter), makes me think this is possible.

Then that suggests you can. Call them and check there will be no exit fees.2

Thought so, will call them now many thanks for the replies.0

I called them today because of the price rise, currently on superfast (61mb) and they offered me ultrafast (minimum 100mb) for £29 a month with no set up fees.
Requires an engineer to visit and set up as calls are via VIOP (not that i'll be using them)1 -

That'll be FTTP. That's pretty good.0
