Currys online ordring performance

A warning to anyone placing an order online with Currys. Their website states they provide "Fast and free delivery" . They offer various options to book a delivery slot at extra cost. We went for the fast free delivery and were told our dishwasher would be delivered in 14 days! In our opinion this could not be termed "fast"
We decided to complain and spent a couple of hours trying to contact them by phone , text, or e mail and eventually gave up. Their online "Chat" turned out to be defunct.
We were now thinking we may have made a mistake buying from an outfit that so obviously cared nothing for their customers .
A day later we unexpectedly received a call from them clarifying delivery details so took the opportunity to voice our concerns. This resulted in a change and our delivery took place 2 days later. Would we recommend them ---NO!

'Fast and free delivery' is open to interpretation. They don't say 'Fast, free delivery' so they can legitimately claim they offer 'Fast Delivery' and they offer 'Free delivery'.

They give you dates to pick delivery before you actually purchase. If you was unhappy with the 14 days, why did you continue with the purchase and not go elsewhere?

"and" is generally used to connect two words or items. If it was as you seem to think, they should state "Fast delivery or free delivery".
If you booked accommodation in a B&B, would you be happy to be told in the morning that breakfast wasn't included because they offer a bed and they offer breakfast and you had used the option of the bed.
How about an eatery that advertised "bread and butter". Do you really think it would be okay for someone to order this and be given a slice of dry bread?1 -
I don't think 14 days is exceptionally long to be honest. Yes quicker would be nice, but things are not the same as they were.0

Ergo that argument would support fast and free = two separate things.
I'm on the fence on this personally though. What is fast? Surely you need something to compare it to, in order for it to be fast. Depending on item in question, typical lead time could be 3-4 weeks. In which case 2 weeks would be fast.
I mean if we want to get really technical, is it really free either? Or has it simply been included in the unit selling price?
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -

If you see "free and fast delivery", you should IMO, expect free and fast delivery, not free or fast delivery.
"fish and chips" on a shop front is only showing potential customers that they sell fish and chips.
As to your two examples.
If you see "fish and chips" itemised on a menu, surely you would expect to get both items and if you asked someone to pass you the salt and pepper, you would also expect to get both of them passed to you.

For the avoidance of doubt, the word AND is TRUE if and only if (IFF) both conditions are met otherwise FALSE.
Thus fast AND free is only TRUE if it is both fast AND free. Otherwise it is FALSE.
Thus fish AND chips is TRUE if and only if both fish AND chips are supplied.2 -
I bought some items online from Currys and they shipped me the wrong ones; I contacted them and they sent a courier to pick them up next day. That was a good start, but it was the beginning of a drawn-out process of trying to get a refund; it took almost 2 months to get my money back, after talking to people who didn't know what they were doing or simply lied, "not had" the notes from the previous conversation, stalled when i asked to escalate the issue, and generally made a hash of things.I won't buy online from them again.Since it's often the case when you go into the stores that they advise you to order online, I suppose it's likely that I won't bother doing that either.
