To POPLA or not to POPLA

Hello you wonderful lot.
I have just received this from UKPC following my appeal to POPLA:Thank you for your recent correspondence in relation to the above parking charge. We appreciate the inconvenience this has caused you. It is not our intention to cause undue worry and frustration when enforcing our clients' parking regulations. We have investigated the appeal based on the information you have submitted and confirm that in this instance the parking charge has been cancelled.
Just that….. no explanation or reason given!
Thanks so much to those of you who took the time and trouble to read and comment on my posts.
This isn’t the end of it for me though as I still intend to make representations to local MPs about the poor signage in that particular car park and am going to look into the feasibility of getting a Freedom of Information request to UKPC for the numbers of tickets they have issued in that location.
Thanks again for being there

PS I contacted POPLA by phone last week as suggested by Umkomaas:
The first chap I spoke to was perfectly pleasant but did not email me their appeal by post form as he promised he would.I called back an hour later and got an even nicer chap: Mark, who sent me the form and strongly advised that I cover all the bases & send it via email too, which I did to info@popla.co.uk.Both of these gents confirmed that POPLA are experiencing problems with their online appeals process so feel free to share the info@popla contact if it will help anyone.2 -

There is something in the new appeals charter about monitoring the number and types of PCNs to see if there are hotspots that need addressing.
It won't be active until next year, but the BPA have told its members they must start to comply with the new CoP now and not wait until it becomes mandatory.
I suggest you suggest to your MP that this particular site needs to be monitored, and the BPA should start doing this now to determine what is going wrong, and get it fixed.
You could also suggest that she/he should tell the DVLA they must investigate requests to supply keeper data to this PPC and this location instead of selling it nilly-willy like they usually do.
The ICO is investigating the DVLA's constant sale of personal data without carrying out suitable checks. Less checks than the police are required to do as it happens.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.
