Petrol vouchers at Morrisons are USELESS for some cars

I just want to warn anyone who wants to use the 7p off vouchers given out at Morrisons that they ONLY sell E10 and DIESEL petrol.
My husband just went to use a voucher and had to queue for quite a while and then found that they did not sell any petrol that was suitable for our car.
So make sure you can E10 or DIESEL petrol before you go
E5 UNLEADED OR SUPER UNLEADED IS NOT AVAILABLE

E5 unleaded hasn’t been available anywhere for around 6 month, so shouldn’t have been much of a surprise.2

Tesco sell E5, it goes in the van. Bought some a couple of weeks ago. I've noted that other outlets also stock it, but it is hard to find.0

Super unleaded is still E5.TadleyBaggie said:E5 unleaded hasn’t been available anywhere for around 6 month, so shouldn’t have been much of a surprise.0 -

One tank of E10 isn't going to ruin your car, especially if it is well maintained anyway. Prolonged use might cause issues.
If you are so desperate to save your £3 or £4 per tank then pop the E10 in and dilute it with E5 when you get down to half a tank and then don't make a habit of using it going forward.
Most cars since 2000 are ok with E10, all cars since 2011 are definitely good with it.
Speaking from experience, having an old car involves so many other complications in terms of unexpected costs that saving £3 on a tank of fuel becomes irrelevant anyway if you are determined to look after it.
If you've got a classic car from a long gone era, then you should be using Ethanol protection fuel additives if you are worried about the side effects of E5.1 -
Not true at all, Tesco sell it locally to us.TadleyBaggie said:E5 unleaded hasn’t been available anywhere for around 6 month, so shouldn’t have been much of a surprise.0 -

Tesco seem to suggest that is the only place in the UK where they may not sell E5 regular unleaded, everywhere else in the UK they stopped selling it from 1 September 2021. They recommend that anyone who wants E5 should buy Momentum 99.
