Combi boiler problems - any advice

Wonder if any of you can advise....
Our combi bolier is only about 3 years old. Recently, it has been playing up.Last night I went to have a shower and the water just trickled out. There seemed to be no pressure.Looked at the boiler and the pressure setting was correct and the water was heating up.Later on, it was all back to normal.
This has happened a couple of times now and the only link we can see is it seems to happen when our heating has been on all day.Can this have an effect???
Anyway, hubby wants to call out a boiler man but before we do and shell out for that, does anyone have any ideas of why this is happening?

Hi
Make and model of boiler?
When the hot water is dribbling out , what is the cold tap like?

If your boiler is 3 years old you want to think about going on a service contract to cover you because i know from experience if your boiler is going to breakdown it will be when it's freezing cold , they never go wrong in the summer.0

Was there an interruption in the mains supply? Can you check with a neighbour?Hoping this year is better than the last.

Thanks for the replies. Yes, it did affect the cold water too so have since found out that our neighbours have had similar problems so it must be to do with the mains supply rather than the bolier.0
