Problems placing a Vodafone Broadband Order

Does this not, perhaps, give you just a teeny little twinge as to what Vodafone's customer support experience might be like?
Remember, this is the bit where they are trying to take your money, the bit where most businesses concentrate their resources.1 -
Received email from Vodafone inviting me to access my account a soon as i signed up. They provideyou with a password and a link which I did not follow up straight away. Thought i would leave it a week or so. Now I have tried and failed several times to access my account returning with “internal server error”. Tried again thinking Vodafone server might be having genuine problems. But it failed again. Changed, or went through, forgotten password routine, which I hadn’t forgotten as Vodafone provide you with your initial password, but that failed as well.
Went on to the Vodafone community forum to find posts, scores of them, going back at least 2 years. All expressing frustration about not being able to get access to their Vodafone accounts. But there are reassuring posts from Vodafone community ‘experts’ stating that you cannot access your account details until your router goes live! They say, clearly frustrated with Vodafone, that they keep asking Vodafone to amend their introductory emails wrongly inviting new customers to access their accounts when they know that it is not possible until their broadband service goes live. They have been saying that for 2 years.
Welcome to the wonderful dysfunctional world of Vodafone.
It gets better/worse. Broadband Genie state that “...your sale did not automatically track with us.” On average referring the matter to Vodafone takes 75 days to resolve once a query has been raised, however this may take longer!
Apart from reviewing the customer service reliability of the various ISPs, as Martin’s money do, how about reporting on the likelihood of the ‘deals’ being more hassle than the projected saving?
Not even on Vodafone yet, still with my more expensive but hassle free EE until mid March. Not looking forward to Vodafone so far.
