Sky broadband and tv

I have been with sky for a least 6 years and I currently pay £80.30 a month which is expensive for me already, am being affected by the price increase from next month from £80.30 to £109.30 and I want to leave, the question is the contract is in my boyfriend's name but I pay it so can he cancel then I join as a new customer,is it possible and my contract ends this month so I know I don't have to pay a panelty.

If you're out of contract for the broadband find another provider.  You can sign up in your name, his name, the dog's name... on the new provider.

If you don't want the TV any more and its out of contract, phone up and cancel it.  You may get a better deal.

Note:  With Sky TV and Broadband/Phone are two entirely different thing with two different contracts.

Sky told me as I took out the TV and broadband package at the same time I had one contract and not two. I originally just wanted to cancel the TV package but they said I couldn't just cancel 1 without it affecting the other.
So I cancelled my contract by giving 31 days notice and they have  waivered all fees for doing this. I've been with them for over 13 years.
