    DCBLegal is different than DCBLtd.

You are wrong to ignore a Letter before Claim.  This is covered in the 2nd post of the NEWBIES thread.

Parking firms would say so.  Luckily, canny consumers, MPs and the DLUHC disagree.

Hi everyone I followed your advise and sent a very robust email as per dear R Taylor and within a day they have emailed this reply:

    Good Morning

Our position remains the same as our previous email.

The new Code of Practice is yet to be enforced so does not apply to this debt.

The letters were issued to you as you breached the Terms and Conditions of the parking agreement. The debt is comprised of the Parking Charge and a debt recovery charge. The debt recovery fee is a contractual charge which was agreed to when parking on the Land.

Our Client has taken all reasonable steps to recover the debt. Pursuing a legally owed debt through the Small Claims Track is the correct process. Should you wish to not make payment within the next 23 days, the matter may be escalated to the County Court. Payment details have already been provided.

    Kind Regards,

What should I do next? Once it goes to county court do I have to pay the court fees as well if I decide not to fight it. This has been going on for 5 and a half years now. I kind of feel like making a payment of £155 so it can ho away but at the same time I know they are scammers so want to fight. If I do what should my defence be?

Why do you keep mentioning paying up when you have been told not to?
Just wait for the court claim

Just had a response from my MP asking  if I have contested the PCN and what was the outcome?? They say they cannot contact the other parties until they know what the outcome was? Still no response from the land owner though who can cancel this.

DCb legal ltd will issue county court within 23 days and to be honest I have no defence at this point in time so how can I win this? I don’t want to pay more money

You do, and you were advised what to do and where to find the response to send to dispute it, same as your MP said:

So, we hoped you would have gone straight to the NEWBIES thread section about LBC stage and done what was needed to dispute it and put it in hold, whilst you research and read more threads.

My signature below every post I make (in colourful writing designed to be seen and read by new posters) tells you exactly where the NEWBIES thread is and how to get there so no link was needed.

Yes thank you I have followed all your instructions to the letter and read the newbies thread as requested.  And I appreciate all your advice. I’m waiting for the court paper now which will arrive according to DCB legal Ltd in 22 days. I have got all the evidence back I requested. It just seems overwhelming to defend in court even though you provide templates. I am self employed and my daily rate is more than £155 Fine so that is why I keep suggested I pay it.  Can anyone tell me if you get a chance to settle it after you get the court papers at  the same price or will you have to pay more?
