DD gave me two foundations this week that were too dark for her, one was Becca Ultimate Coverage I think and was very pale so I mixed it with my summertime foundation and gave it a go but it is sooooo thick and just doesn't move on the skin to blend, I wore it Wednesday as I don't work that day and it sank into every line and pore and looked awful on me.  I put it on Freecycle and someone is coming for it tomorrow so she may have more luck.

The other one was a Rimmel 25H one and is very pale and pink, I've mixed it with the same darker Rimmel foundation today and so far it looks OK so we will see on that one.

Avon Solait SPF50 Moisturising Sunscreen - this was DH's but he wasn't a fan, it is very thick and stays tacky all day.  WNBA

Somerset Toiletry Co Naturally European Hand Cream Ginger & Lime - these are pretty much the same as the L'occitane handcreams, they are in a metal tube with a tiny plastic cap though which is better for recycling.  This was a mini and I have another mini I think plus a full size.  WBA

    • Superdrug nourishing nail polish remover- acetone free, with Aloe Vera and Vitamin E: yeah, it's ok, it's nail polish remover, are there really any special ones out there?  Usually just buy whatever is acetone free.
    • Nivea Double Effect Eye Make-Up Remover: WDBA, love this for getting off waterproof mascara.  I wear a lot of eye makeup and sometimes my balm cleansers need a little extra help, and this is perfect.  As it is bi-phase, if I use it in the morning, I swipe a little regular micellar over the top to remove any oily residue.

    • Sample sachet- Dear Klairs Supple Preparation Unscented Toner: had a nice consistency and felt soothing on the skin. Has lots of great ingredients (centella, sodium hyaluronate, licorice root, panthenol, beta-glucan, copper tri-peptide)!  I actually have a full size of this one in my toner stash so really looking forward to the time when I get to this one!
    • Sample Tube- Prada Iris perfume: ok, wouldn't buy.

I went to Boots and ONLY bought the skincare I had run out of and had no replacements for.  I've had a bit of a crap week, and a work event yday where I had to speak on stage (my nightmare), so I REALLY wanted to treat myself, the urge was so strong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  BUT I decided to buy myself some flowers instead and they are gorgeous! <3

    • Nivea Double Effect Eye Make-Up Remover
    • Boots Nail Polish Remover: annoyingly not acetone free, but they'd run out of those ones and I couldn't be bothered to go to another shop.  Am sure my nails will survive!  :p

Happy Sunday Clutterbug. It’s great that you chose the flowers over a spend in Boots. I have had a bit of an epiphany like that myself this week. I got a John Lewis gift card for Xmas and was going to buy my Bare Minerals Pressed powder with it however it has been out of stock for a while. I got an email that it was back in stock last week but by then I’d started considering finding an alternative so didn’t buy. It did sell out quickly again and I felt a bit disappointed. However I have now decided I’m going to use the gift card toward the price of a new steam mop. I think I may be growing up!
