Samsung Galaxy S10e - battery replaced?
I’ve had my phone from new for 2 years but the battery life is now very poor. Charge lasts around 8 hours per day. I googled and it seems it can be replaced. Has anyone replaced their battery? Looks quite a faff and would have to buy tools we don’t have but equally if it was easy to do (looks a little complicated on YouTube!) I’d be happy to give it a go. Thanks.

Have you run through the Samsung troubleshooter on their repair page? https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/repair/ Worth a go just in case it's not just a flaky battery. They might also give a quote for battery replacement.
I've replaced a battery on a phone (not the s10e) not too hard if fingers not too fat and eyesight reasonable but did have to buy a cheap phone repair toolkit from Amazon. The ugly bit is removing the phone back without damaging either the back or the internals. It's glued on and has to be heated to free it up. A domestic hairdryer is just about hot enough, a heat gun would be ideal. What's worse is the s10e's battery looks like it's also glued in.
Replacing the back to look as it did was beyond me (faffing with adhesive tape) and a case hides an ugly gap. Phone works fine.
My phone was a spare Moto G7, if I'd beggered up the repair I wouldn't have been too upset. If your phone is more precious than this then I'd definitely get a quote from my friendly local repair shop before shelling out on tools & battery.2 -
Sorry I didn’t reply to your message but I didn’t get any notification until I looked just now! I’ve been in touch with Samsung and they suggest I back up my phone and then put it back to factory settings and see if that helps. As I don’t have a working PC I haven’t done this. With regard to the battery, I had seen on YouTube how to take battery out and it does look like a lot of faff! Thanks for your reply anyway.0

Your phone (assuming you have set it up as recommended) will be backing up your content to either your Google or your Samsung account (or both). No need for PC.0

Take a look at ifixit. They'll have a clear step by step guide or replacing the battery and a rating on how easy or difficult it is.
