I would run very fast in the other direction then. I don't know the legal stance on this but if the bamboo originated in the garden of the house you are interested in could the neighbours take legal action regarding it being allowed to spread onto their land. If so, then it is not just the problem in your garden but could open up a very huge can of worms.schizometric said:Vendor won’t budge.

If the vendor isn't interested in either doing something about it or adjusting the price I would walk.schizometric said:Vendor won’t budge.

That is a spreading variety that unfortunately is still sold in local diy sheds and garden centres. We had some next to the extension when we moved in. I dug it out and got rid of anything remaining with glyphosate. 130sqm is crazy though, good luck with whatever you decide.schizometric said:The specialist surveyor thinks running Phyllostachys, likely aurea0 -
The thing is bamboo is not classed as an invasive species due to the wildlife and countryside act so I'm not surprised why the vendor doesn't want to do anything. I guess you buy it and sort it or walk away.0
