Good morning again, it's fine and sunny, but the car is a bit frosty,As I said, I didn't feel too grand yesterday, aches, shivers, and all my arthritic joints seemed to flare up. I didn't get up till about 10am, unheard of for me! I thought I was in for flu or something.Anyway, I just sat under a fleecy throw all day, reading and watching TV, and this morning I feel much better.I don't know what's on the agenda today, there are no plans,I do need a bit of shopping but it can wait till tomorrow.I hope everyone is ok, take care folks15

Morning - thanks for starting us off Scarlet, sorry to hear that you've been unwell, I hope you're better today. 🌺. Thanks for the birthday wishes too.My day was a mix of emotions, on the whole it was lovely. The chap up the hill called round with his son bringing flowers and cards. Texts and calls came in from family and friends along with a couple of videos too. I had a very piggy day, lots of cake, lots of chocolate and more fizz than was sensible. 😀
Despite the high winds overnight it's dry outside, I may venture out as there's a couple of things my cousin wants me to take over to Berlin - Branston pickle and Cadbury's chocolate. I always find this funny as Germany is the land of pickles. As I was writing this my door was knocked, it was a young chap who was looking for help with his flattened car battery. I was very wary and in my pyjamas so sent him up the track to the farmer who has now sorted out the problem. Very unsettling but resolved.Today I'll pack my wee case, I'm not taking much as I'm only away three nights but need the suitcase to bring back the documents. Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes, it's so kind of you all. That's another difficult event passed, only two more before the first year is over. Anyway, you all helped. 🙏🙏
My thoughts to all our poorlies - Happy Sunday to all.PS - happy belated birthday to Yorks' DGS too.14 -
Morning everyone
Scarlet - pleased you feel better today
Gers - you seem to have had a lovely birthday. When is it you go to Berlin?
I've just counted and it's only 7 weeks till I'm there with DD - really looking forward to it.
I'm back at work tomorrow, just working from lunchtime at least for the first week to see how I feel. It will be nice to be back. Only 6 weeks till we break up for Easter!
I've had a nice chat with eldest DD while still in bed - she's off to pole dancing this morning and then for coffee with a friend - lovely sunny morning in Nuremberg.
Lovely morning here too - I have my bedding in the wash and will get it dried outside.
Going down to do dads jobs this morning - DD will drop little one off with me while she's at work for a few hours.
Hope everyone has a good day today. Take care x

Hi everyone, thanks for the start Scarlet and I hope you feel much better today x
That’s so funny about the pickle Gers. I’m off to Cyprus a week today and Stepmum has been sending me random Am@zon deliveries to take, including a replacement mop head! Glad you had a lovely birthday yesterday x
Great amount raised for the SA Florence 😊
I had my eyebrows threaded and dyed yesterday. The lady said I had a heavy brow – how to make you feel great about yourself not! I can assure you I do not resemble a Klingon. I did some housework, sorted a bag for charity, and went for a nice long walk with my friend and neighbour. Watched the rugby and did some ironing when I got back and was in bed for 9.30pm after a nice bath – bliss!
Today I am off for the food shopping and will pop into the antiques centre on my way there. Always lovely to see what they’ve got in there - I’m particularly partial to vintage pyrex.
DD will be returning to uni today – hopefully some lectures resuming soon. DS2 is working from 2pm-10pm and DH due to arrive back from Wales at some point this evening. There are bathrooms to clean, so I won’t be bored.
Hugs to all those going through tough times or with health worries. This is such a supportive thread and it helps to offload, so please do.
Have a good day everyone,
Coxy

Morning All
Lovely and sunny this morning, I have a couple of throws on the line, another load to go in once I've had a shower.
Hope you're feeling better today Scarlett.
Glad you had a good day Gers. Where I used to live we quite often had folk knock on the door as they had broken down, needed water or the loo. The first two I could deal with but not anyone coming in to use the loo!
Well done Florence, that's a great amount raised.
Enjoy your trip Gers.
I have sausage rolls in the oven, I found sausage meat and pastry in the freezer from Christmas, thought I had better use them up. I'll also make some oatie biscuits while the oven's on. First time I've used it since it was fixed, seems to be working well.
Stocked up with toilet rolls and a few other things from Costco yesterday, a large tray of veggie sushi fell into the trolley so that will do me for lunches for the next few days. Also stocked up with toiletries from HB, much cheaper there.
I'll have a walk down to Aldi in a while for general shopping, will have a tidy up in the garden too. My little greenhouse hasn't done well during the storms of the past couple of weeks, it's laying in bits all over the garden!
Have a peaceful Sunday, take care. XX

Coxy / Gers - I inherited my dad's bushy eyebrows and have to trim them - I dread them turning white!
Must get this washing outside x13 -
Morning, hugs if you need one.
Pleased you had a good day yesterday Gers, hope the headache is not too bad!!
We were supposed to have someone come and, at last, fit the new flooring in the bathroom, we asked that he did not come before 10.30 as we were going to the market, did they come? No. We have a ring bell which records who comes to the door, and he had not been.......it was the second appointment, so will be ringing the council tomorrow at 9am.
Sewing room is in a mess, decided to have a clear out and swap the tables over, stuff all over the place, including an old 10.5 tog quilt I found. I can only do so much and then have to sit down and wait for my back to recover before doing a bit more.
The sun is shining. DB tells me it's due to rise to the heady heights of 9c today. Needless to say he is planning to be in the garden. Our greenhouse survived the wind. We anchored it down in concrete and it also has toughened glass in, so heavy to move. The plants and cuttings from last year have survived the winter, they will be moved shortly to the small grow house by the back gate. We need to use the same tactic with the obelisks and concrete them in to stop them moving. Going to start the gardener back this coming week, plenty for him to do.
Usual Sunday brekkie, just thinking about getting up. I do not know if it psychological, but since we had the bedroom decorated I am sleeping much better.
Supper tonight is the last of the lamb I froze with veg and roast spuds. Raspberry jelly and a splash of cream for dessert.11 -
