Yes, I just checked on the Google Play store and the unlocker to give full functionality is £19.49. I think it cost me less than a fiver when I first bought it.The Pro version does seem expensive now if it's gone up that much, I just checked, it cost me £8.99 in 2018.
Like you, I tried many others but settled on Aqua as suiting my needs the best.

Another vote for FairEmail here.
It isn't the prettiest I have to say, but for sheer functionality (and security) it has a host of options - more if you go Pro. I went to it from BlueMail and haven't looked back.
