The local repair man got it going but the graphics card and some of the RAM was done for so I've ordered a new recon machine-

    HP ProDesk 400 G6 - i3-9100 3.60GHz - 8GB RAM - 240GB SSD

    HP ProDesk 400 G6 - i3-9100 3.60GHz - 8GB RAM - 240GB SSD | Stone Refurb

£232 delivered, should be with me tomorrow.
That will be significantly faster than your current machine.  There will also be plenty of space to mount the existing SSD within your new computer as an additional drive.

It has @ 11am. Started it up at 15:30 and it has all gone very smoothly, everything working and transferred over, got all my old accounts loaded up and favourites saves so quite seamless. Just discovered 10 mins ago it had an optical drive too, this wasn't on the specs sheet so I am currently loading my trusted copy of Office 2000!- and its worked too!

Have put the old PC in the cupboard and at some point will take the SSD out and pop into the new machine as additional storage.

Only negative so far is no speaker out socket on the back, I've plugged into he front headphone socket but its not working on the bass bin, just the two now very tinny side speakers.

There should be an audio out on the back at the far left, according to the parts manual:

Thanks you so much! It looked like a "screw hole"- I would never have spotted it- dead happy now.
