Hello all,
I am wanting to replace my bathroom wall paper with wet wall panels but have no idea which would be the best type and what thickness ie 5mm Thick, 7mm Thick, 8mm Thick etc and where to get them from ie B and Q etc anyone with any recomended links, a good manufacturer’s guarantee a guarantee of 10 years, cladding adhesive and matching trims??
Also what other materials will I need to put them up?
Anyone give me any advice please?

Depends on budget.
You can get the 10mm PVC full panels for about £60 each, they are 2.4 x 1.0 so cover a good area and tou don't need many.

They come in a lot of colours from a lot of different suppliers. I use them a lot and they look great, I use the tonue and groove for an invisible finish althouigh you can get trim for corners and end caps etc. You can use silicon to put these up,
Or you can go up a gear and get the wood core ones from the likes of multipanel who do the Lynda barker range but the are about £180-£200 for 2.4 x 1.2m per panel. There are other who make very similar panels but they are still in the £140-£170 range.

I have used them and they are a more premium product for those with a bigger budget.
Again I use the tongue and groove ones but for these I use a good quality grab adhesive
I won't ever tile again, whatever style or product you choose for me look better than tiles and a lot quicker and easier to install.1 -
Thanks, any idea what the guarantee is? What other tools and materials will I need if I get them also caps etc?
I would rather get them from a well known company like B and Q or Wicks or screw fix. Can you help me identify wet wall panels on any of their websites please?

You need the skill to fit them, tools and materials are the panels, a good grab adhesive and any corner nnd trims as needed.
To fit you need either a good skill with a fine handsaw or a track saw for precise cuts.
Measure, cut, fit..
if you have an electric shower then you need cut the hole oin the panel to fit it. Remember measure twice cut once., mistakes are expensive.
Warranty will vary with manufacture although once installed there is not much that can go wrong with them.
Abbrasive and bleach content cleaners should be avoided.0 -
I had multipanels fitted in my shower and sink splashback, 7mm I think.
My fitter strongly advised against the PVC ones due to their quality.SPC 0370 -
I have fitted a few types, pvc and plywood core ones. Supplied by different company’s. I would say around 20 rooms all together.
All of them tongue and grooved and non of them would fit together tightly. Tight at top and bottom and then a couple of mm gap all the way down the rest of the panel.I have laid them flat down on trestles and looked down the edge and you can see the bow in them. If you buy any look down the edge of the first panel before you start fitting them.0 -

I’m currently fitting 400mm x 2400 hard wearing PVC panels around my bath/shower area. They look good with a stone/marble finish and easy to cut with a circular saw with vac attached.
The cheaper PVC sample I bought is a thinner grade but these ones are much stronger.
I did consider Multipanel for less joins but was a bit worried about taking a saw to a £90+ panel.
