You can usually check for planning & consent via the local council's portal. But this just has copies of documents lodged up to the point where permission is granted. I don't think stuff like completion certificates are made available via the portal (my local council certainly doesn't). For documents related to BC inspections & sign-off (completion certificate), the home owner would need to make an application for copies.
Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

And just like that, our solicitor emails and says that the seller has asked the local council and they have everything they now need - so no issues!I hate buying houses!!!0
