Been with BT for years and thinking of an change now I am out of contract. Not overly impressed with the service and speed, oh and price! Out of contract so now £48/month inc BT sport for Fibre 2. Very expensive.
Considering virgin media’s M100 at £24/month which is up to 108mbs so a lot more than BT. Admittedly it doesn’t include BT sport which I would like but I’d prefer a faster, more reliable service so could get rid of this if needs be. I work from home so need a decent connection. 18 months which is better than BT’s 24.
Any thoughts on virgin?
Any other decent options? Don’t really want cheap and cheerful and have a rubbish service but also unsure I’m getting value currently.
Oh and I like the idea of the backup options they both offer (can’t remember what the virgin one is called), halo 3+ is the bt option. What I can’t seem to see is the difference between halo, halo 3, complete broadband etc. with bt
Help needed!

I'm in the same kind of position, out of contract with BT on Fibre 2 £45 with phone.
I've seen the M100 £24 (and also cashback in some places)
Its just the customer service thats the worry.
I must say never really had a Problem with BT1 -

Doesn't seem very expensive to me, the same package is 49.99 for a new customer on the BT website!!adonis10 said:Been with BT for years and thinking of an change now I am out of contract. Both BT (ie BT Group) and Virgin are network builders as well as retailers, it doesn't make sense for them to put their customers on someone else infrastructure.adonis10 said:https://cityfibre.com/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI57mm1pPU9gIViJntCh1TqQLzEAAYASAAEgKAC_D_BwE&gclsrc=aw.dsThoughts on city fibre? Is it? Wow that’s a lot. Usually cheaper for new customers. Renewal offer is £43.99. In all fairness I’ve resolved to remove bt sport so it’d be £29.99 but Vodafone with city fibre is £19 so still moving I thinksouthsidergs said:

Yes, are you in an Openreach FTTP area? If so, there are many providers offering excellent FTTP for less than BT (either by price, or shorter contract) and better customer service for loyal customers. If you are lucky enough to be in a CityFibre area, then that is a definite option! Providers on their network thus far seem to be amongst the cheapest and you get symmetrical speeds (same upload as download).1
