...In other news, sorry for anyone currently trying to access UKDealShare (Well, since 10pm last night)
Summary:Virgin Media has decided to have a UK wide Internet problem and therefore the server has been knocked out until they resolve the issue. It was working 5 mins ago but just as I was about to post a post outlining why the downtime happened the connection must have gone again
Interrupted my Poker last night,. Thought it was my machine. Was damn lucky someone down the roads got an unsecured network.0 -
The good news : The connection appears to be back up and running
The bad news : I can't actually restore the site until I get home. I did think it was possible to do it remotely from work but it seems to have locked me out of doing this
Hopefully the server won't set on fire tonight with all the deals that are likely to be posted from the past 24 hours or so!
John, check your PMs will youDon't take life too seriously, no one gets out alive0 -
I wish Paul on HUKD would read this bit about how to run a successful siteMe: How do you market MyVoucherCodes apart from PR?
Mark: I am very active at all aspects of advertsing and marketing. I would say it is one of my strengths. Advertising your website is not just about seo and ppc (of which we do both) But also creating a buzz about your website, maybe a community around it. By helping your site visitors do the marketing for you and using word of mouth. You have a regular userbase, so give them tools to be able to promote you – that costs nothing.

The owner of the site has posted a LLLLOOOOONNNNNGGGG reply under discussion as to why the site has changed.
Read it if you like but to put it in a nutshell: It's my site, I'll do what I want, if you don't like it go elsewhere
if thats the case, sounds like he aint a businessman. the posters and members/guests are his customers. crazy for him to think he is above them.0 -
Nope, no joy for me
I use FF, I've even opened IE7, but.......................nope! :wall:I only exist in my own mind - if you can see, hear or read me, you are a product of my imagination.0 -
It should be working, try going through all 3 domains (Unofficially there are more than 3!).
If not it is possible changes are still filtering through on the domain servers which can take up to 24 hours (usually instant however!)0
