Cont. from 2019!

Good evening all! I shall start with a quick tl;dr.

I left this forum in 2019 (original postwhen MIL Collections threatened to take me to court, despite acquiring my data illegally. I threatened them with a counter claim, as advised by this wonderful forum, and I hadn't heard from them since. As I didn't complete the process and all coms stopped, I stopped updating my thread. Its now closed, so here's a new one.

Roll on this Friday just gone, and the parking enforcement lot have instructed a new soliciting firm to act on their behalf - 3 years later. I have straight away received a LBC and whilst my stomach was a pit of dread for a couple of days at the thought of the work I now need to put in - AGAIN - I'm so excited to see this bu*****it through to and stick it to these persistent f***ers.

So whilst I'm not here for advice or help, I wanted to begin the conclusion and leave a winning story on this wonderful forum. If this inspires just one other person to fight these greedy companies, I'll consider the time taken a win for sure.

There was a similar previous MIL case 'resurrection' just a few days ago. Do a forum search to dig it out.

    Which parking firm?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Same outfit. Do a forum search on recent threads which include their name. There won't be many.

I found the thread and have had a read through. A very interesting one! Unfortunately, we differ in that MIL never filed for a hearing and I'm not £750 better off for their failures. In hindsight, I wish I'd started a claim against them! Very interesting though that Llawnroc & Gladstones are going back through the archives.

Looking at their account filings, Llawnroc have had a fairly dismal year no doubt due to COVID and are seeking a payday from old 'fines'.

UPDATE: After receiving further emails late last years and early this year and batting them off with the threat of a counter-claim, the claims against me have surpassed the statute of limitations! Stress, anxiety, hours of legal research and many, many emails later and the greedy b*******s haven't managed to get a penny out of me.

Thank you to everyone who assisted on this and the previous thread, you're all amazing. Its a very nice feeling to delete all of the bookmarks, all of the saved documents and to no longer have the potential to be taken to court looming over me. Very nice! I hope more people find this and similar forums and end up fighting tooth and nail to prevent these greedy companies from extorting people.

    All the best!
