  • @savingholmes I am pretty new to it to be honest. I have switched 4 times in the past 5 months but only received the money for 1 so far as some take 30 days to pay out and others due to pay out on specific date. It has involved me opening around 6 accounts, which is a lot! I'm sure you've seen the MSE article listing all the deals but there is a good £170 deal at the moment, which is one of highest I've seen!

I can't get the £170 one sadly - but am pondering some of the others.

Beautiful sunny day today here! I am having a very welcome and very chilled bank holiday weekend. Need to sort the house out.

Hoping to have my first NSD of June today (only managed one in May..)

Debt-busting wise just waiting for my new £300 monthly payment to final CC to come out next week. Will have debt paid off in just over a year if I carry that on (before 0% runs out) but hoping to make some overpayments to bring that forward. My original aim had been by the end of 2022! At the minute restarted tilly tidying my main current account just to the nearest pound to go to my non-EF of £500.

I have made a little bit more cash selling unwanted items.. £5 here or there as don't have any big items to sell. Waiting for around £20 to hit my account from that and just redeemed my first airtime rewards £10 today. Added a page to my spreadsheet to track all this as it is good to remind myself it all adds up! I have also been better at making lunches and at most recent supermarket visit decided to buy cheaper brands from what I normally use and haven't noticed much difference at all!

Overall feeling much more positive and in control for now!

I hope everyone has a lovely few days off or if you are working not too busy!

  • Quick update that I have now paid off over half of my debt! Still a long way to go but getting there slowly. Hoping for a low spend week this week as mainly just working. We will all get there eventually!
